One simple cocktail unwittingly started a life long journey that led to this company. After trying the gin basil smash for the first time its light citrus balance quickly became my favorite cocktail.

Hello, I’m Ross Glendinning, your mixologist at Prohibition Mix.

 

My flavor profile is deeply influenced by the Prohibition era. When I first became interested in cocktail making, my goal was to master the basics and make them taste great. Over time, I became captivated by more exotic flavors like passionfruit, basil, fresh fruit juices, and sours. I began experimenting with unique liquors and ingredients to elevate the classics and create something truly exciting for my friends and family.

 

Living in the mountains of Colorado presented a challenge; high-quality juices and exotic flavors were hard to find. Frustrated with buying pre-made juices and having ingredients like passionfruit and guava flown in, I decided to make everything fresh. This realization—that high-quality ingredients are essential to expert mixology—sparked my passion for entertaining and sharing these flavors with others.

 

As I traveled the world with my mixes, I struggled to find anything that compared to my creations. This quest for the ultimate drink experience, even at home, inspired me to start Prohibition Mix about a year ago. Now, I’m thrilled to bring these unique flavors to you. I’m always happy to experiment and adapt recipes to suit your clients’ tastes and introduce new creations over time.
